GRANTS
Aline Barnsdall intended Barnsdall Art Park to be a cultural wellspring for Los Angeles, a hub for art and ideas, and a respite from urban life. The City of Los Angeles owns and operates the park, yet public funding is simply not enough to truly fulfill Barnsdall’s purpose.
Barnsdall Art Park Foundation is dedicated to realizing Aline Barnsdall's vision, and raises money in collaboration with the City of LA’s Department of Cultural Affairs to support all aspects of the park: the landscape, Hollyhock House, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, Barnsdall Gallery Theater, and Barnsdall Art Center / Barnsdall Junior Art Center.
Donations to the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation have supported transformative projects including:
landscape & infrastructure
HOLLYHOCK HOUSE
Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery
BARNSDALL GALLERY THEATER
BARNSDALL ARTS CENTER + BARNSDALL JUNIOR ARTS CENTER
PR + SOCIAL MEDIA
The Barnsdall Art Park Foundation funds the professional services of Public Relations and Social Media consultants who work to highlight and promote all of the Park’s cultural initiatives and public programs.
