Volunteer at Hollyhock House

Love spending time at Hollyhock House? If so, please consider becoming a volunteer docent. Hollyhock House welcomes over 40,000 visitors each year, this is made possible by facilitating self-guided and docent-led tours. Docent applications are accepted year round, and the annual training program takes place in January.

Applicants should:

  • Have an interest in art and architecture
  • Be comfortable speaking to public audiences
  • Be able to commit to a minimum of 2 shifts (2.5 hours each) per month, for a 1-year period
  • Complete the docent training program (5 weeknight classes over 5 weeks)
