The Junior Arts Center is dedicated to providing children with high quality arts programs that nurture and encourage the individual and promote positive human development.

Each 8-week session is followed by “culmination,” which includes an exhibit of the children’s visual art and performances from the acting classes.

The Junior Arts Center Gallery presents five student exhibits, adult exhibits, one performance and one community event annually.

The Barnsdall Art Center and Junior Arts Center Living Arts program provides workshops and classes to people with disabilities in 8 different facilities throughout the city as well as at Barnsdall Park.

There is teacher training in working with children and adults with disabilities.

“Barnsdall goes to the Library” is a free program for children and their families held at the Los Feliz branch of the Los Angeles Public Library, 1874 Hillhurst Ave.
